Apres Ski!

We have spent a good amount of time hitting the slops this winter. Over Christmas we skied at Stratton, VT which is home turf our good friend John Bainton. He was a great tour guide. Regina was happy with her ski lesson (refresher course) with a young buck in his Freshman year at Dartmouth. Over New Years we Skied two days at Loon Mountain in NH with our friends Jaclyn and Trevor. We were on such a role that we took a day trip up to Cannon Mountain in NH a a few weeks later. Then, Stowe with a UVM friend Steve Kirk and his wife Katie. Regina's first time skiing at Stowe, ever! (This is very embarrassing for a UVM alum) Nobody does Ski lodge out east the way Stowe's new Spruce Peak lodge does. Spruce Peak gives places out west a run for their money. Finally, this past weekend we went up to Killington, VT with our friends Roger and Krista for a spring Ski day, and lets be honest, the last Apres Ski of the season. Krista and Roger are expecting their first child in September so we planned to Ski in the morning and then hang out and soak in some sun on Killington's famous "Bear Deck." It was a beautiful warm day. We had skied about 6 runs and headed down "panic button" to get to a blue called needles eye. Next thing we knew, Regina took a digger, the kind the required a snowmobile ride down the mountain. Verdict- torn ACL. However, skiing is about Apres Ski, so with crutches in Hand we head to where else "Bear Deck!" Nothing heals an ACL like a 22oz Corona. Our pal Peter Bates was in Killington for a bachelor party, he saved Krista and Regina chairs, what a guy! Here are a few pics. Moral of the Story... Spring Skiing is for the professionals. Until Next year...

Winter Rejuvination Event

A few weeks ago, I hosted a client event for my women clients at the FRESH Store on Newbury St. For those of you not familiar with the store, FRESH is a company that originated in Boston and carries a number of luxurious face, bath, and body products. The store is crisp, white and is the perfect bright setting for a post work winter gathering. The gal's that run the Newbury street store were kind enough to close the store down for me and provide make up and skin care lessons for all of my clients. It was pouring rain out side, but the die-hard shoppers and ladies who wanted to brighten their day with a little pampering did not let the weather gods get in their way. For more information about Fresh visit their website www.fresh.com I have been hooked for two and a half years after my sister and love gave me a gift from their the day before our wedding. Here are some photos of the event. It was a great night!

A Snap Shot of Winter

We have been a little MIA with the Blogging this winter. Work has been busy for both of us and is just doesn't seem to allow time to spend updating our adventures.... With a little time on my hands (Story later) I have decided now is a great time to catch you all up....

January 13-18 th I had an amazing trip with one of my most wild friends Jaclyn to celebrate her Bachelorette party in St Barth's. If you have never been to St Barth's before it is hard to describe this very fancy island in the Caribbean. Simply put, It is nothing short of Fabulous! Put 11 girls (half of them gorgeous news anchors), endless magnums of Rose, a boat, and a villa = out of control.

February 21st - Our Dear Friends Karalyn and Erik celebrated their First Wedding Anniversary. Karalyn and I have been friends since 8th grade! It was a honor to be in there wedding and I am so happy for her that she has found a wonderful man to spend her life with. We look forward to many more memories with them. Here are some photos from their amazing Winter wedding in Newport, RI. Happy Anniversay Manzelli's!

Happy Birthday Jon!!!!!

Today is my Jon's birthday! At the ripe age of 32 I think he gets better looking and more fun. I am bias of course! Jon had a great early birthday dinner with some college sailing pals last week (that was trouble). I was happy to arrange such an event because guys do need one steak and scotch night a year. Last night we had dinner with Jon's parents at a Hingham favorite Square Cafe, which was great!

Happy Birthday Jon!!!! and you are aging like a fine wine ;)

A Different Christmas

Many of our married friends have often encouraged us to spend one Christmas just the two of us. We decided that this year we would give it a try (just once). We still spent time with both sides of our families in November and December to spread the Christmas Cheer.

One weekend we spent the weekend in NYC with Regina's mom and brothers. We went to the theater, went shopping, had a home cooked brunch, and Regina's even squeezed in a Baby Shower for "Babe Yeager"

A few weeks later we hosted the Third Annual JWW Christmas dinner, which we host for the Winslow's because we usually are in CA. This year was extra fun because our youngest nephew Tanner was a little more into it, and of course Fisher as always could not contain his excitement! (the best part about Christmas)
